Nancy J. Benton is a NYS Licensed Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist. She holds a Master's of Science in Acupuncture and is an NCCAOM Diplomate of Acupuncture, a National Board Certification. She has been in practice as an L.Ac. for over 2 years, and as an L.M.T. for over 8 years. Nancy attended the Finger Lakes School Of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at NYCC, Seneca Falls, NY.After graduation, and licensing, Nancy was hired by NYCC to be a Graduate Assistant Acupuncturist at Canandaigua, NY's Veteran's Administration Hospital. Also during this time, Nancy travelled with her alma mater to study Acupuncture and Tuina Massage technique at Zhejiang Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital in Hangzhou, China. When she first began her career in massage therapy, Nancy took part in a clinical trial at the Touch Institute at the University of Miami, that indicated pre-term babies that received massage therapy thrived more quickly than those who had no massage or "sham massage". Nancy's undergraduate (B.S.) degree was earned in Horticulture and Small Business at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, Ca.
