Paul J. Hartman, MD is a board certified ophthalmologist. Dr. Hartman was raised in Mineola, NY and graduated from Vassar College before earning his MD at the Boston University School of Medicine. He stayed in Boston to undertake his internship at Tufts University Medical Center before heading to Nashville, TN to complete his residency at Vanderbilt University. While at Vanderbilt, Dr. Hartman served as the resident director of the ophthalmology wet lab and completed specialized research in the management of traumatic hyphema. In 1997, he joined Dr. Howard I. Schenker and Dr. Alan H. Gruber at ROG. He was also accepted onto the University of Rochester clinical faculty and was appointed clinical assistant professor. With extensive experience in all areas of ophthalmology, Dr. Hartman maintains a busy medical and surgical practice, treating patients of all ages. In addition to patient care, he is an active participant in clinical research and maintains affiliations with a number of professional organizations.
