Location Comments: Genesis Pediatrics was established in the summer of 1988 by Dr. Goodfellow and located on the corner of Buffalo and Elmgrove Roads, just down the street from the current location. In 1998 the office moved to Buffalo Road and was there until 2009 when we built and moved to the current location at 900 Elmgrove Road, next to Total Sports Experience. In the last ten years the practice has grown to include six physicians and currently enjoys the association of three licensed pediatric nurse practitioners. Expertise All of the pediatricians at Genesis Pediatrics are board-certified in pediatrics, and are also Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics. We stay up-to-date via medical journals, meetings, and conferences, ensuring that we are providing our patients with the best care possible. We regularly engage in teaching roles for the medical students and residents at the University of Rochester. Furthermore, many of our pediatricians have special areas of interest, including asthma, sports medicine, and mental health, among others. Compassion The cornerstone of our practice is the level of compassion that we express. We are ourselves parents, children, sisters and brothers. We have a sincere respect and understanding of the individual needs of our patients and their families. One of the primary strengths of our practice is the unique balance that we strike between operating as a cutting edge, sharp group of professionals who utilize technology to the advantage of our patients, while maintaining the original heart that is at the core of everything we do as a practice. Philosophy We at Genesis Pediatrics have always viewed ourselves as the medical home for your child. We emphasize the importance of regular checkups to monitor your child's growth and development. We offer morning walk-in hours, Monday and Tuesday evening hours, and Saturday morning hours to ensure there is a convenient way to be seen for all types of family schedules. When your child has a problem requiring more specialized care, we keep in close contact with the pediatric specialists and help coordinate care and schedule procedures.
