James M. Byers, PT, MPT, CLT-LANA holds a Master of Physical Therapy degree as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry/Economics from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Prior to joining the staff at CHPT, Jim worked at Unity Hospital (brain injury and acute care) and at Pittsburgh's Mercy Hospital (orthopedics, oncology and burn unit) and UPMC's chronic pain clinic. He completed advanced training through the University of Wisconsin and is certified through the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA). As an avid swimmer, Jim also specializes in general orthopedics and sports. He teaches injury prevention workshops at CHPT and at community dance studios. Jim has completed the Community Spine Pathway Training in preparation for becoming a Primary Spine Provider.
