Karen Shufelt graduated from Daemen College in 2004 with a doctorate in physical therapy. She has been working in an outpatient orthopedic setting since 2001, treating a variety of conditions including neck and back pain, fractures, shoulder pain, post operative procedures including carpal tunnel release, rotator cuff repairs, arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgeries, and balance and gait issues. Karen has advanced training in hand and upper extremity diagnosis and treatment, becoming a Certified Hand Therapist in 2007. As part of her hand certification Karen has experience in custom made and prefabricated orthotics for the hand and upper extremity.
