Joel A. Yellin has practiced surgery in Rochester for over 30 years. He practices at the Breast Center in the Department of Surgery, Rochester General Hospital. Dr. Yellin is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery, University of Rochester.His practice specializes in the evaluation and treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the breast. In addition to breast surgery, he provides consultations to patients diagnosed with breast cancer, ultrasound guided needle biopsies (minimally invasive), and placement of Mammosite™ catheters for partial breast radiation. Dr. Yellin's surgical interests include applying oncoplastic techniques for improved cosmetic results in breast cancer surgery. Dr. Yellin is also a participant in the Mastery of Breast Surgery Pilot Program sponsored by the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
