Dr. Gentile received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania . He completed his internship in surgery at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and his residency in urology at Strong Memorial Hospital. Dr. Gentile believes in a multifaceted approach to treating many urologic diseases, emphasizing and preserving quality of life where feasible. "If surgery can be avoided, it is best avoided. If surgery is indeed necessary, however, it should be performed in a minimally invasive fashion, preserving, to the extent possible, a patient's native, normal anatomy."
