Dr. Kerlan is a long-term resident of Geneva, and a graduate of Geneva High School. Dr. Kerlan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Master's and Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Kerlan holds a clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy and is board certified in both orthopaedics (OCS) and as a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). Dr. Kerlan has brought to the area his expertise in the rehabilitation of all sports and orthopedic musculoskeletal injuries and is a member of the sports medicine team for Hobart and William Smith Colleges. His specialties include the rehabilitation of shoulders and throwing injuries, lower extremity biomechanics, gait analysis, and orthotics fabrication.

Location Comments: Our facility offers state-of-the-art clinical rehabilitative equipment. Our facilities were designed around an exercise based treatment philosophy featuring an extensive gym area, objective testing equipment, and private treatment and consultation areas. Prescription Fitness Physical Therapy and Sports Care is continually evaluating and implementing the most recent advances in relevant rehabilitative science and technology. Our treatment approach is centered around evidence- based practices, selecting those treatment options that will best serve our patients in their recovery from injury or disease.
