Dr. Kanthor, a practicing pediatrician in Rochester for more than 20 years, has been with Bay Creek Pediatrics since it opened in 1992. He has a special interest and experience in school-related problems, such as learning and attentional issues. He chairs the Committee on Children with Disabilities for the American Academy of Pediatrics, and in 1997 and 2003 received Special Achievement Awards from the American Academy of Pediatrics. A graduate of Cornell University, Dr. Kanthor earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. After completing his pediatric residency at Yale University and the University of Rochester, he did additional pediatric fellowship training in Rochester. Dr. Kanthor is board certified in pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical Center. A life-long resident of Rochester, Dr. Kanthor is married, active in the community, grows several varieties of tomatoes, and enjoys visiting his four children in Philadelphia, China and Bangladesh.
