Dr. Carbone attended St. John Fisher College graduating with a BS in Biology in 1978. He went on to attend podiatry school in Chicago, at the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine graduating in 1978 with his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree. Following this, Dr. Carbone completed a 1-year surgical preceptorship in Chicago. Dr. Carbone has served as the Monroe County Legislator for the 16th District (Irondequoit) since 2013, now holding the position of Deputy Majority Leader. He is also the past President of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Galisano Children's Hospital at Strong and the Monroe Community Hospital. Dr. Carbone is a fellow of the American College of Foot Orthopedics and Medicine. He is on staff at Rochester General Hospital.
