Paul Decancq, Psy.D, a Rochester native, completed his undergraduate education at James Madison University in Virginia. He received his Masters Degree from Boston University and his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Wright State University in Ohio. Dr. Decancq completed his residency at the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center where he developed a special interest in treating survivors of trauma. He has participated in extensive research on treatment options for anxiety disorders and assisting rescue workers following devastating events such as 9-11. Dr. Decancq has been interviewed by the Democrat and Chronicle and has appeared several times on the local news discussing the symptoms and treatment of trauma.
