Ms. Farnham graduated Magna Cum Laude from D'Youville College in Buffalo, NY with a Bachelor in Science in Nursing in 1996 and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society of nursing. After working as a registered nurse, Ms. Farnham returned to D'Youville College and earned her Master of Science Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 1998. During this time she was nominated for the 1998 Student Nurse Practitioner award by the New York State Coalition of Nurse Practitioners. Ms. Farnham practiced as a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner in Wyoming County, NY for over five years in a rural nurse-practitioner based Women's Health Clinic prior to becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife. She earned her Post-Master's certificate in Nurse Midwifery from the Insititute of Midwifery,Women & Health in Philadelphia, PA in the year 2003. Since that time Ms. Farnham practiced in a local Community Health Center until joining the URMC Midwifery Group in October 2007. Ms. Farnham also became an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Nursing program at the College at Brockport where she teaches the maternity didactic component and also has the pleasure of training the students clinically at Highland Hospital.
