Dora Pita-Acevedo, M.D., M.S. has joined the medical staff of Geneva General Hospital, specializing in the field of Internal Medicine.Dr. Pita-Acevedo joins FLH Medical, P.C. from Geneva Community Health. Dr. Pita-Acevedo received her medical degree at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY. She completed her residency in internal medicine and served as chief resident at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. More recently, Dr. Pita-Acevedo held the positions of Medical Director of Ambulatory Services and Assistant Program Director of the Internal Medicine residency program at Maimonides Medical Center, where she revamped and taught the ambulatory medicine curriculum to resident physicians. She also held the position of associate clinical professor at SUNY Downstate and Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, NY. Dr. Pita-Acevedo is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
