Dr. Susan Hyman is a pediatrician specializing in development disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. She is Associate Professor at the Department of Pediatrics at Golisano Children's Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Hyman received her medical degree from Brown University and completed her post-doctoral training with a developmental pediatrics fellowship at Kennedy-Kreiger Institute, John Hopkins Hospital and residency in pediatrics at North Carolina Memorial Hospital. She is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Developmental-Behavioral and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities. Dr. Hyman's clinical interests include autism, autism spectrum disorders, self injuries/behavior, developmental and behavioral problems with special needs children. She is the recipient of the 2006 Professional Service Award | Autism Speaks/National Alliance for Autism Research and has published many articles in her areas of clinical expertise.
