Dr. Rashid completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Rochester in 1993. She went to medical school at Upstate Medical University at Syracuse, finishing in 1997. Dr. Rashid found the Orthopaedics program at the University of Iowa to be exceptional, and decided to do her residency there. Dr. Rashid is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is affiliated with Rochester General Hospital. She performs surgeries there and at the Linden Oaks Surgery Center. She enjoys taking care of a diverse variety of orthopaedic conditions ranging from minor hand surgery to total joint reconstruction. The majority of her surgical practice includes taking care of fractures, arthroscopy, rotator cuff repairs and total hip and knee replacements.
