Dr. Gmerek specializes in diabetic foot care, sports related injuries of the foot and foot surgery. He treats all ages of patients from children to seniors. Dr. Gmerek received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City where he also completed his surgical and orthopedic residency. He is Board Certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Gmerek has been in private practice since 2001. He is actively affiliated with Highland Hospital, F.F. Thompson Hospital, Noyes Hospital and Westfall Surgery Center. Dr. Gmerek reaches out in the community to provide podiatric service to patients in nursing homes and to the developmentally disabled. He also maintains three convenient office locations over two counties (Monroe & Livingston).

Dr. Gmerek also provides treatment for patients needing wound care, ulcer treatment, and relief from other foot problems including bunions and flat feet.
