Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Medical School / Professional School:
State University of New York at Buffalo

Welcome! I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor (CASAC). This means I am a qualified health professional recognized by New York State to provide mental health counseling and also substance abuse counseling. I use a person-centered approach empowering you to take charge of your life! My specialty is working with children and adolescents who have a trauma/loss history. My mission is to help you find inner peace and support you to reach your goals. I value the experience of meeting with people of all cultures, backgrounds and experiences. I maintain a supportive atmosphere with open mind and no judgment. I have extensive training and experience working with people through issues relating to a variety of traumas and losses. A person's history has a profound effect on how they view themselves, their life, and their relationships. To treat a condition or solve a problem, we identify the root of the issue and not only manage the symptoms. Many painful, distressing emotions and challenging behaviors are caused by current or past stressful experiences. We work through any barriers to create and/or maintain a 'safe place'. I build a unique therapeutic relationship with my clients to motivate them to work toward their individual goals. I support people to better understand themselves, their emotions, and actions. We identify, define, and develop reachable goals and challenge barriers related to the goals.
