Alice L. Taylor, M.D. grew up in Fairport and graduated from Fairport High School before attending Purdue University where she received a degree in Pharmacy. After working as a pharmacist for several years, she returned to school and received her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. She then came home to Rochester to complete her pediatric residency at the University of Rochester. She remains there as Assistant Professor in Pediatrics, having worked in both the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as well as the Newborn Nursery caring for babies. In 2004, she transitioned to Highland Hospital and became Medical Director of the Special Care Nursery. She was honored as Highland Hospital's Distinguished Physician of the Year in 2012. Her love for babies is paralleled by her love for primary care and she has worked as a general pediatrician in the Rochester area since 2000.
