A native of Lewiston, NY, Dr. Mudd received his medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn and completed his internship at Staten Island University Hospital and his residency in radiation oncology at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn, where he also served as chief resident. Before coming to Batavia, he practiced at Finger Lakes Radiation Oncology Center in Clifton Springs. He is a clinical senior instructor in radiation oncology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and is a member of the associate staff at UR Medicine's Strong Memorial Hospital.Dr. Mudd has been involved in cancer care since 1977, when he trained as a radiation therapist at Upstate Health Science Center in Syracuse, where he currently serves as a lecturer. He is board certified in radiation oncology with special skills in gynecologic oncology, brachytherapy, interstitial (seed) implants and rectal care.
