Healthcare Directory
Physicians and Allied-Healthcare Professionals
The RH Physician and Allied-Healthcare Professional Healthcare Directory is made up of healthcare providers across more than a hundred medical and healthcare specialties. To be eligible for inclusion in the directory providers must...
- have an active New York State License through the NYS Office of the Professions
- have an Individual National Provider Identifier (NPI) through the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES)
- participate with CAQH ® and have a completed, up-to-date CAQH ® application
- be present on the RCIPA/Rochester Health CAQH ® Provider Roster
- Authorize Rochester Health access to the CAQH ® application by selecting RCIPA/Rochester Health in the Authorization tab of the CAQH-UPD®.
Rochester Health uses both the NPI Registry and CAQH ® data sources to obtain directory listing information. The following table illustrates what information Rochester Health obtains from each data source:
|
|
Provider identifying information such as first name, last name, suffix (I, II, Sr. etc.), gender and credentials (MD, DO etc.) |
Provider-related information such as practice specialty, board certification, medical school and languages spoken. Practice-related information such as address, telephone number etc. |
It is important that both of the above sources are kept up to date to ensure your directory listing is accurate.
CAQH ® Directory Listing Hints: get the most out directory listings by maximizing the potential of CAQH ®:
- Practice Name: enter the practice name that is most widely associated with the practice
- Practice Address: enter up-to-date address information as directory listings can be linked to Google Maps™
- Ensure that provider NPI and New York State license information is entered correctly in CAQH®
Rochester Health uses CAQH as the primary source of directory practice information for physicians and allied-health professionals. Since CAQH® does not have an explicit field for practice websites Rochester Health developed a relatively straight-foward method of linking practice websites to practice locations for practices wishing to have a link to their website displayed in their directory listing. Rochester Health has decided to use the practice telephone number as a method to associate practice websites with practice locations for purposes of the healthcare directory; therefore practices wishing to have a link to their practice website displayed in their directory listing are asked to contact Rochester Health and to include your practice telephone number with area-code as it is reflected in CAQH® along with your practice website address. Rochester Health will display the website submitted for all practices having the submitted telephone number.
