SAISD provides resources for: Deaf and hard-of-hearing people; Their families and friends; Professionals who work with deaf substance abusers. If you are deaf or hard of hearing and don’t like what drinking or drugs are doing to you, come to us. If you know someone who is deaf or hard of hearing and has a problem with drinking or drugs, talk to us. If you work with clients who are deaf or hard of hearing and want to know how to put them in touch with people who understand, we can help.
This program has been developed in the course of an agreement among the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), Rochester Institute of Technology and the Monroe County Department of Mental Health.
