The University of Rochester MERT provides free New York State certified Basic Life Support services to the River Campus community. We are contracted with Rural/Metro if an ambulance is required for prompt transport to a local hospital or medical care facility. We provide full coverage from 2000h to 0800h seven days a week when campus is in session. At other times during the day and vacation periods, a limited crew is available, however a commercial ambulance service serves as a backup to provide timely patient care.
