Location Comments: The Department of Surgical Services is open for planned surgical procedures from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays. On holidays and all other hours of the day, there is a team of surgical staff members and an anesthesiologist available for all emergency surgical procedures. The center provides education, prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer. Within a caring and supportive atmosphere we offer the finest patient care available.

Location Comments: Clifton Springs Regional Diabetes Health Center provides outpatient educational programs and services to people in the Finger Lakes area. Our comprehensive program provides patient education services in accordance with the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education. We are also affiliated with Healthways, Inc., the countries' largest provider of specialized diabetes services. Our program is designed for people newly diagnosed with diabetes, have had a change in their treatment regimen, or are having difficulting acheiving glycemic control. We encourage participants to bring a support person with them to their diabetes classes and complimentary follow-up sessions. Most insurance companies, including Medicare, cover all or part of diabetes education. A physician referral is required for program attendance. Location Comments: The Center for Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine provides treatment to patients with non-healing chronic wounds, caused by diabetes, poor circulation or other conditions. We have a unique multidisciplinary team of dedicated doctors and nurses who treat more of these wounds than anyone else. Many patients find wounds that have resisted healing after months and even years of traditional treatment can be treated. There are a variety of circumstances in which a person may need wound care. They include, but are not limited to: Ulcers (pressure, diabetic, neuropathic or ischemic), Surgical wounds, Vasculitis, Burns, Peristomal skin irritations, Soft tissue radionecrosis, Actinomycosis, Preservation of compromised skin grafts and flaps, Crush injury/acute traumatic peripheral ischemia, Progressive necrotizing infections (necrotizing fasciitis), Osteoradionecrosis and Traumatic wounds. Hyperbaric Medicine: As part of our Center we have two Hyperbaric Chambers that are a part of our Wound Care healing tools. These non- invasive clear acrylic chambers provide 100% oxygen to promote the optimum healing opportunity. While breathing pure oxygen, the patient's blood plasma becomes saturated, carrying 20 to 30 times the normal amount of oxygen to the body's tissue. The ultimate result is the body's natural wound healing mechanisms (which are oxygen dependent) are able to function more efficiently. Continued use of hyperbaric oxygen treatment increases the body's immune and healing response. Our Certified Hyperbaric Technician will educate you with the knowledge to complete this treatment with the best results.
