Cardiac Rehabilitation is a medically supervised program of exercise and patient education that offers all phases of cardiac recuperation, including: inpatient hospital care, outpatient care, maintenance program and preventive care. Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation program is also a medically supervised program that seeks to improve exercise capacity and breathing function. A team of health professionals establish programs based on the patient's medical situation, lifestyle, and abilities.

Location Comments: Unity Health System's Endoscopy/Medical Procedure Center offers many state-of-the-art Endoscopy procedures to help diagnose and treat disorders of the digestive tract, esophagus, colon, and lungs. Types of procedures include: colonoscopy, gastroscopy, bronchoscopy and more. The center is staffed with physicians, registered nurses, technicians, and support staff.

Location Comments: The August Family Birth Place provides care from labor to recovery, with a staff of expert obstetricians and pediatric care on site. Patients have round-the-clock care in private birth suites. Childbirth, breastfeeding and sibling classes are also offered throughout the year.

Location Comments: The Joint Replacement Center at Unity Hospital has the largest, most experienced team of joint replacement surgeons in the area. The center specializes in knee, hip and shoulder replacement, and performs over 1,000 joint replacement surgeries a year. Patients stay in private rooms and receive rehabilitation- all in one location.

Location Comments: The Spine Center at Unity Hospital is the first of its kind in the area. The Spine Center treats a wide variety of conditions, including: acute back and neck pain, degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis, sciatica and spinal stenosis. In addition to total care coordination, our comprehensive services include: neurosurgery, orthopaedic spine surgery, physical therapy, high-tech imaging, pain injections, ongoing spine care programs, chiropractic services and chronic pain management program.

Location Comments: The Stroke Center at Unity Hospital is a New York State Department of Health Designated Stroke Center. The center's clinical team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists - all with stroke-specific training.

Location Comments: Unity Rehabilitation and Neurology Physician Services provides a wide variety of rehabilitation services, including: stroke and traumatic brain injury clinics, electrodiagnostic testing, mild brain injury evaluation and rehabilitation, post- concussion evaluation, general neurology consultation, assessment and treatment for acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, disability evaluations and neuropsychological assessment.

Women's Health and Imaging Services provides the following tests/ services: mammography, breast ultrasound, cyst aspiration, breast biopsy, stereotactic biopsy, needle localization, ductogram and bone density testing.
