The American Red Cross regional blood center's mission is to fulfill the needs of people and provide the safest, most reliable and cost-effective blood and plasma services through voluntary donations. The American Red Cross, New York-Penn Region, is seeking candidates for our Reference Laboratory Technologist position in our West Henrietta, NY office. Schedule: Evening Position: M-F 3pm-11pm or Over Night: M-F 11:30pm - 7:30pm As a Technologist you will be responsible for: - Performing cross matching and phenotyping of blood units for patients as needed, - Performing advanced level testing to resolve complex antibody identification problems - Providing regional transfusion services with technical recommendations regarding patient transfusion therapy and serological techniques. | Education: | - Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related science |
| Special Skills: | Two years work experience in a blood bank or blood center. A New York State licensure for a Medical Technologist. A valid driver's license. |
