Call for Volunteers!

We are looking for individuals, organizations, or companies who would like to participate in the first annual MS Service Day sponsored by the Upstate NY Chapter of the Natioanl Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Make a difference in the life of someone with MS!

The National MS Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. In 2010 we are launching a new volunteer program to directly help people with MS remain independent and in their homes.

Teams of volunteers will go out to the homes of people with MS to help with household chores and light repair work that the person with MS can no longer perform because of the effects of multiple sclerosis. Whether volunteers paint a room, organize a closet, work in a garden or fix a broken screen door, they will be helping people with MS improve their home and quality of life, and, for some, it might allow them to remain in a safe and familiar environment.

There are many families in need of this program. Every team created helps one more household on June 12th.

Send a team of volunteers (4-6 people) or volunteer as an individual and we will connect you with an existing team. Please contact Dee Mascari at dmascari@msupstateny.org or 585-271-0966 for more information or to get started with your volunteer application.
