Southtown Plaza's parking lot will transform into a children's play place with all kinds of activities for kids, including a "Get Well" craft area inside the former Old Navy store, where kids can create cards to send along to patients at Golisano Children's Hospital, a "baby crawl" at 11 a.m., a Kan Jam tournament from 1 to 3 p.m., a bouncy house, face painters, magicians, clowns and live music from Strike the Sky at 3 p.m. and Bob Sneider at 4 p.m. Rochester sports teams will host interactive games along with their mascots for kids. Food and beverage vendors will be on hand. The event is hosted by 100.5 FM The Drive and 106.7 Kiss FM. The event is free with a requested donation or nominal fee for some activities. Golisano Children's Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) is the area's only children's hospital, serving as the referral center for all seriously ill or injured children from the 17-county Finger Lakes region. The children's hospital, a division of URMC and located within Strong Memorial Hospital, is committed to treating all children regardless of their family's ability to pay.
