This meeting supports those who are considering or those who have undergone all or any part of the "J-pouch" procedure for entities such as ulcerative colitis and FAP (familial adenomatous polyposis). It is informal, interactive, informative, and open to patients, families, significant others, friends, and health care professionals. The one-hour meeting is sponsored by Rochester Colon and Rectal Surgeons, P.C.; many of the providers from the practice (including the surgeons) are available at the meeting to answer questions. Refreshments will be served.

The beginning of this meeting will feature a short presentation by Dr. Stephen Rauh regarding robotic surgery.

The J-Pouch Support Group is a non-profit group which meets twice a year for discussion/support of those who have undergone (all or a part of) major bowel reconstruction for ulcerative colitis, familial adenomatous polyposis, and other entities. It is an informal meeting which is highly interactive and informative; participant reviews are excellent. The meeting is open to all patients, family members, significant others, friends, and health care providers and is sponsored by Rochester Colon and Rectal Surgeons, P.C.
