National HIV Testing Day is a national campaign to increase awareness of HIV/AIDS and the importance of getting an HIV test recognized annually on June 27. It was started in 1995 by the National Association of People With AIDS (NAPWA) to send the message "Take the Test, Take Control," to those at risk for HIV from those already living with HIV.

In honor of this day, AIDS Care will be participating in an event on Thursday, June 24 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 405 Exchange Street in Geneva. Organized by the Finger Lakes AIDS Task Force, this event will feature free walk-in HIV testing!
