The 2010 Fire and Ice Benefit Auction is a perfect night out for everyone. The evening begins with a silent auction, open bar and hors d'oeuvres. The fun doesn't stop there - listen to live entertainment, enjoy great food and bid on high-end items in the Live Auction.
The Greater Rochester Red Cross responds to every house fire in Monroe and West Ontario Counties, which is nearly a fire a day.
Every night in our area, while most of us are sleeping, Red Cross volunteers are standing on the lawn of someone who just lost their home and everything they own in a fire. We give them a blanket to keep warm, a hot cup of coffee, a place to stay for the night, and a plan to get back on their feet. The Greater Rochester Red Cross responds to every house fire in Monroe and West Ontario Counties, which is nearly a fire a day.
The Red Cross depends on the generosity of donors to make this possible. We are not a government funded agency. The fact is "your" American Red Cross can only be there through the generosity of people like you -- people who make financial donations.
The Fire & Ice Benefit Auction is the Greater Rochester Chapter's annual fundraiser to raise money for the Disaster Relief Fund. Please give to the Red Cross. We can promise you this: When you give to the American Red Cross, you get back more than you could ever imagine.
