Diabetes Community Program on Diabetes and Nerve Disease. Neurologist Dr. Philip Vitticore will discuss the causes, treatments, and prevention of diabetic nerve disease. Program is free. A diabetes-friendly lunch is available for $5.00 per person. RSVP required. The Regional Diabetes Health Center at Clifton Springs Hospital provides outpatient diabetes educational programs and services to residents of the Finger Lakes region. Additionally, we provide specialized inpatient services within our hospital setting. Our diabetes educators are nurses and a dietitian who are all Certified Diabetes Educators. The Clifton Springs Hospital Diabetes Self-Management Education Program has been Recognized by the American Diabetes Association for providing Quality Self-Management Education in accordance with the National Standards for Diabetes Patient Education Programs. The center is also affiliated with Healthways, Inc., the country's largest provider of specialized diabetes services.
