ConKerr Cancer Community Event-Locks of Love, Sew a Pillowcase, Zweigles on the Grill

Come sew with us! We will be sewing cheerful, handmade pillowcases for local children battling cancer and other life changing illnesses. They receive their special pillowcase when they enter Golisano Children's Hosital for treatment. These pillowcases not only brighten their room, but also their spirits bring comfort at a time when they need it the most and even offer a reason to smile.

Cutting stations, hot irons and sewing machines will be set up and ready to go. Beginner to advanced-all skill levels are welcome!

For each pillowcase, you will need to bring 27' (3/4 yard) for the body and 10' (about 1/3 yard) for the border in bright, cheerful, child friendly cotton or flannel fabric.

Got HAIR??? Local beauticians will be on hand for those who would like to donate their hair to Locks of Love.

Get them while they're HOT!! Hot dog roast with proceeds to benefit ConKerr Cancer. 100% of donations are used to fund ConKerr Cancer's on going service to our local children by purchasing fabric and other supplies used directly to make and prepare pillowcases.
