A civic-minded student-athlete, Peter was the student sponsor for Red Cross blood drives and encouraged his classmates to give blood. He would have graduated high school in June, and giving blood in his memory is a way to celebrate his accomplishments. Peter's family is encouraging the community to donate blood at the drive and hopes this will continue Peter's work to raise awareness of the everyday need for blood.
Peter was also a Red Cross blood donor, who even at his young age had already donated seven units of blood.
